Hey, hey! We're back to fashion today. Hopefully you all enjoyed my last post on my night out. Anyway...today's OOTD is very simple. You could say it's somewhat festival inspired. I always like to keep my outfits simple, I don't care if they are casual, dressy or anything for that matter. I've always believed that less is more.
This simple gray sleeveless dress is perfect for when the days get a lot warmer. It keeps you fresh and looks great. Paired it with some nude sandals and a couple of accessories, like the fedora that gives it that extra dash of chicness to the outfit.
Keeping today's outfit very simple. Let me know your thoughts and lookout for the next post!
I always seem to be inspired by something when I try and put an outfit together. Today it seemed to be the waist. I'm a fan of high waisted pants, skirts, basically anything. I feel like they give a much better silhouette and show off you amazing figure!
I went with these navy blue pants. I added the white short sleeve button down that also ties around the waist. Makes it more feminine and fun and less serious. Perfect for a day out. The colors kind of remind me of a sailor outfit, lol. I added other white elements and some beautiful gold ones. My favorite are the platforms! They are stunning. The shiny gold definitely give off that 70's feel to it.
Let me know what your thoughts are on this outfit! :)

That mixed feeling everyone has on a Thursday, almost Friday but not yet! It seems to be like it's going to be a rainy day here in Chicago so I decided to make a post that is inspired on the gray sky that I'm basically looking at now, lol.
A more casual outfit today just perfect for getting ready for the weekend. A lose fitting shirt that can definitely make you feel the breeze. The white skinny jeans because I didn't want to use blue jeans, this is because I wanted the shirt to stand out. If I had used the blue jeans it would of gotten lost and it would of just seemed like a blue blob.
I added casual gray and white accessories to match the outfit. The gray and white sneakers make the outfit casual and somewhat sporty as well. This outfit just seems so fresh and clean (insert Outkast song here).
Getting ready for the weekend has never felt so good! Have a great one everyone. Let me know what you think!
I don't usually put together outfits that are completely white but today I seem to have been inspired by the sunshine we're having here today. Not only that but it is also a trend that's going to be everywhere this spring.
Talking about trends, I seem to have incorporated about three different trends into this outfit without even knowing it! Lets start with the beautiful white shirtdress! This dress is so elegant and chic. The cut of the sleeves, the tie around the waist. I just love it! Brings back a 50's vibe to me. Some black open-toe mules because those are definitely making a comeback. I didn't want to use a closed shoe because I wanted this outfit to be fresh! Adding a yellow bag to bring some color into the outfit.
Hope you enjoy the outfit. What are your thoughts?
You notices I gave the blog a fresh new look. I've been wanting to do so for a while now. I'm so glad with the outcome. I hope you all like it as well.
Today's OOTD might not go too well with the weather we've been having for spring here in Chicago but we can hope we can wear it soon. A very simple outfit that doesn't need much but still looks awesome! This pencil skirt is beautiful, the palm tree print really makes it the statement piece in this outfit. A simple halter like crop top in black to make the skirt stand out or maybe just because I love black.
Shoe wise I added these platforms that are going to be HUGE this spring/summer season. The 90's and 00's are coming back. They compliment the outfit perfectly. I wanted to keep the black and white going so I added this clutch in white to not pull too much attention away from the skirt. Last, the sunglasses. I always seem to add at least something with color in all the outfits. In this case, it's these yellow sunglasses. I loved them. The perfect amount of color with this black and white outfit.
What are your thoughts about this outfit? Let me know! Can't wait to hear from you :)
It's finally spring! Living in Chicago makes you really look forward to warmer weather because of what seems to be an endless winter. I can't wait to reorganize my closet and go shopping! Dresses, florals, sandals, etc, etc, etc. Ah! The excitement begins!
For today's OOTD I wanted something simple. Basically something to look great and relaxed to make you feel great on a Friday. I wanted to work with denim today so I played around with both white and blue denim. I wanted more light in the outfit so that's why I wanted to use the white denim jeans. I didn't want it to be too dark. I always have to add something black to my outfits, lol! In this case I added this sleeveless crop top because I wanted something a bit more bold when it was time to take off the denim jacket.
I know it's pretty cliche to use pastels during spring but I felt that with this outfit it would make the color even stand out more. I loved the metallic lavender heels. They add the perfect amount of shine to the outfit and make a great statement piece. Add the sunglasses and you're ready to go. A perfect outfit for the first Friday of Spring!
Let me know you're thoughts on the outfit! I love you hear from you!
This will be the very first post of 2015 and of me now as a mom. Yes, I had a baby! That is partially why I have been absent for some time. Sorry to have left you in the dark for such a long time. I will post something on my newborn on another time. Now it's time to get back to business.
I have been out of the limelight for a couple of months due to the lack of an internet connection. That basically means that I need a lot of catching up to do. Don't worry, I'll try my best to get right back where I was before.
I'm going to start this year with something that always and will always be the best and most loved essential for me...black. I love how it's casual, elegant, sophisticated, chic, etc, etc. So I posted this completely black outfit. Gotta go the monochrome way.
This shirt dress is the perfect way to say hello to spring! It's just around the corner! Adding the platforms gives more height and elongates the legs giving you a better silhouette and longer legs, who doesn't love that? I added black accessories. Basically, black everything. With black outfits even when you don't accessorize too much you look great.
Here is a new post, hope you all enjoyed it. I'm excited to be back and have you all read me. Let me know your thoughts!
I have missed you and this baby for so long. Since I've moved back to Chicago everything has been a little bit more hectic. I must say I will take advantage of this time that I have right now and share with you what I love to do.
I decided to go for a casually-chic outfit today. Something that you can throw on any day of the week and feel comfortable and fabulous in. Obviously something to go perfectly with this amazing fall season.
I would say that the statement piece in this outfit would definitely be the cable knit crop sweater. I chose this wine color because I LOVE it! I love wine on everything. I feel like it's a great color for fall and it definitely looks amazing on anyone. Threw on some black leggings and some pointed toe booties. I'm still not over my obsession with ankle boots.
As far as accessories go I wanted to keep that at a minimum, as I always do. A couple of gold rings to add some shimmer and shine to the outfit. Of course a hat! I think hats like this one are great for fall, they keep you a bit warm and make you look great and more interesting and add a little something extra to your outfit.
What are your thoughts on this outfit? Where would you wear this to? I would love to hear from you! See you on the next post!
Hey guys! It was about time that I got back with a new outfit to show you. I've come to realize that I have a slight obsession for this summer. This obsession is, pineapples. I have gone mad for pineapples. I think this is my favorite print for the summer.
It was no surprise that I would obviously incorporate this pineapple obsession of mine into the outfit. I found this white shirt with a faded pineapple print that is definitely fresh for these hot summer days. I paired it up with a pair of bright yellow shorts. It livens up the outfit and gives it the freshness and brightness it needs. I wanted to put together a clean chic look so I added white accents to the outfit, the pointed-toe heels and the clutch. Gold accessories and mirrored sunglasses to complete the look.
Something like this is perfect for any summer day. Look amazing and stay fresh. What are your thoughts on this outfit? What would you want me to write about next? Can't wait to read your comments!
It's the middle of the week and the heat just keeps going higher. With the heat you want to wear something that will definitely keep you cool and make you feel great. There are great ways to look great with a few items.
Today I chose this playsuit. I really liked the pineapple print. I just thought it added a sort of playfulness to the outfit, plus who doesn't love pineapples on clothes, lol! It's fresh and clearly perfect for the warm weather. Some chunky black sandals to add more of a funk to the outfit. Last, I just added some accessories. This light brown clutch with the brass buckle and the green bangle bracelet.
What are your thoughts on this outfit? What do you love to wear when the heat is unbearable? Can't wait to read your comments!
Guys! I've been absent for a few days. I missed you! Since it's almost Friday I'm gonna go with a simple outfit just to be able to keep up and wait for the weekend.
This denim shirt dress is perfection. It's so chic and casual I can't even handle it! I paired it up with a some black sandals. They are so minimalistic it's insane. I wanted to to add simple accessories because I want this outfit to be as simple as can be. Something you can throw on to walk around town and look comfortable and fashionable. The accessories are gold with stones to add a bit more feminism to this. Add a huge black bag and you're ready to go.
Do you like simple outfits or do you like more intricately put together outfits? Let me know what you think with a comment! Can't wait to hear from you!
Following today's Summer Essentials post, I put together this outfit that incorporates some of the pieces that I had on my list.
I've always like the sailor outfits and the whole nautical theme so today I decided that I would put together and outfit based on this. First of all, let me talk about the hot pants shorts! They give off a wet shiny look that I just love. A simple white and blue striped lose shirt to give off a more relaxed look. I added some nude sandals because I didn't want to add too much blue. I wanted that to give some light to the outfit.
I kept the accessories simple as well. A nude pouch like bag with some tassels. To finish off the nautical theme I added this golden shell necklace which I thought was adorable.
I love the nautical style and theme. I feel like it's something that is going to be timeless. What are your thoughts on the nautical style? Can't wait to read your comments!
It's the middle of the week and it's a cloudy, rainy and chill day here in Chicago. It's a nice little change from the humid weather we were having.
I wanted to go for a completely casual outfit today. It's definitely more street style. Throwing in some runners to be way more comfortable. Remember that just because you wear runners doesn't mean you can't make them look great! A simple pair of jeans with cuffed bottoms. I liked this black silk satin top because I thought it would add some texture to the outfit. It kind of gives contrast to everything else that is on here. Since I'm making this an outfit to wear on a rainy cool day I threw in a long black cardigan to keep you a bit warm and just add more pieces to make the outfit more interesting.
Since the outfit looked a bit dull with all the black, I decided to add the bright blue beanie to give it more of a lively aspect. Just give it that boom of color. I really liked this outfit. I could walk downtown with an umbrella with this and look amazingly fashionable in the rain!

I missed you over there weekend and on Monday! I guess I just needed a few days off. I had a bit of a crazy unexpected weekend. As always, I'm looking forward to the week to keep you up with great new outfits.
Today I wanted to go for a darker look with just some color accents. I thought this skirt was perfect for that. I like how the colors are not that bright but still stand out from the black. I added a black crop top with leather accent cap sleeves. I thought this would give the outfit a bit more of an edge to it. I didn't want to add heels or flats so I ended up with these ankle boots. Seems to give it more of a casual-dressy look and I love it!
Just adding simple accessories will make this outfit perfect. A triangular wristlet, just to add some more edge to the outfit.
I would recommend that if you are shorter you could use heels instead of the ankle boots. This way you can make your legs look longer and not have the length be cut off by the boot.

Guys, it's finally Friday! That obviously means you are all ready to get out of work and have some you time. I'm obviously a huge fan of black, most of my wardrobe is black so I decided to put together an outfit today that was based on black.
I'm more of a casual person so this outfit is one that is more relaxed but still has a bit of elegance to it because that's what black always does. This pleated skirt is cool, reminds me of my high school days back in Mexico. It's fun and flirty. The top is a t-shirt with a fun print that makes the outfit more casual but still perfect to go out. Flats, I wanted to use these black flats just because the skirt, I felt, was enough. I don't want to over do it because I want this outfit to be a more relaxed look.
For accessories I added gold accents. It seems to me that I always use these but it's just because I love the shine that they can give an outfit. It's a subtle kind of shine and it always looks great.
Enjoy your weekend everyone! Don't forget to share your thoughts on this outfit in a comment!
Thursday, almost Friday! Hey everyone, I am ready to bring you this great outfit. It's almost the last days of spring. We hardly had any spring here in Chicago.
This outfit is fairly simple and relaxed. This outfit has a lot of colors. I wanted to put something together that was simple but fun. These boyfriend jeans are perfect because they are relaxed and comfortable and since they are cuffed at the bottom you can show off these amazing purple heels! I found these heels amazing, they add so much color and pop to the outfit. The blouse with the orange color just adds more funk to this look.
The accessories, like I always say, are very subtle. They compliment the outfit. The clutch has flowers and all sorts of colors which obviously goes well with this outfit. Gold accents and you're done! Remember that looking great doesn't mean that you have to always look fancy. Play with color and textures to make fresh funky outfits.
What are your thoughts on this outfit? I can't wait to read your comments!
It's the middle of the week and it feels like the week has gone by super fast. That is definitely not a problem! With the days warming up and there is nothing better than skirts and dresses. They are definitely fresh and fun for a day out. You can't go wrong with a floral print in the spring, it may not be very innovative but you can't go wrong with florals this season.
This is a t-shirts dress which makes it a bit more casual but you can obviously dress it up when you feel like it. This color goes great with anything. I added these chunky heels because I wanted to go for a more dressed up look and more girly. I always put together outfits that are more sophisticated or more casual and edgy so I wanted to make this more girly. I'm trying to mix it up a bit!
Simple and elegant accessories make the outfit look more put together. I added the brown handbag to add a darker color that can kind of pop. You can also wear this dress with sandals, canvas shoes. Also, if you want to add some edge to this you can definitely add a denim vest and you are ready to go!

It's Friday! For all of you that are ready for the weekend the day is finally here! Todays outfit is really laid back but definitely feminine and chic.
This white tunic dress caught my eye right away. It's so simple, elegant and perfect. You can just simply slip this on and you're ready. I wanted to add heels because we need to look great to start the weekend so these black heels with the thick ankle bracelet are perfect. Adding accessories to this outfit is key. It gives it that something extra to make it or break it. This time I added this statement necklace with olive colored stones that match the medium clutch and a simple gold bangle to go with it. I always believe that simplicity is key. I add accessories but not ones that over that overpowering.
Everyone get ready for the Memorial Day weekend! What are your thoughts on this outfit? Can't wait to read your comments!
It's Thursday everyone! One more day until it gets good. This spring weather is finally kicking in here in Chicago. I took a walk/run down the lakefront a few days ago and couldn't help but think shorts all the time! Since I don't usually make outfits with shorts I thought this would be the beginning of a new and amazing friendship.
A simple white top with no sleeves because we want to take in all that beautiful weather we are having. I wanted something that would pop so I chose these amazing J.Crew shorts. They are full of color and simply amazing. Cool colors for a warm spring afternoon. I added neutral accents because I didn't want to draw attention away from the shorts because that is the statement piece today. The sandals are great! I love how they have wide straps that are a nude and white combo.
This is simply a fresh outfit for this spring season. What are your thoughts on this outfit? Leave your comments! :)
