Sári Gábor, known commonly as Hungarian actress Zsa Zsa Gabor has passed away today at the age of 99 from a heart attack. She was always known for being elegant, stylish and sometimes taking it over the top. Here are a few of my favorite looks of Zsa Zsa throughout the years. Thanks for all the style inspiration, it will live on forever.
About a month ago I walked by Sephora and like any normal person, I had to go in. I was contemplating on whether to purchase the Kat Von D contour kit of her limited edition Metal-Matte eye-shadow palette. After walking around for almost an hour I decided to go for the palette. I was so glad I had made this decision because as soon as I got home I found out the palette was sold out online!
I had been meaning to write this review for a while but I wanted to give the palette some use to make sure I actually had something to review about. So here goes that long awaited review.
First, I'm going to talk about the amazing presentation! If you didn't know, Kat designs all her products but I am completely in love with this one. The Metal-Matte writing is a metallic ambigram. You have it one way and it says matte and when you flip it around it says metal. It's such an original way to present the palette.
The palette is beautiful inside and out and the colors just pop out. I'm just starting to build up my eye-shadow collection and thought this was a must. It comes with nine 13 matte and 9 metallic shades. The mattes range from black, nudes and pastels. The colors are perfect for every day use. The metallic ones are so shiny and the shades are amazing.
Skin Care Must-Haves by elisabethzm featuring face toners
Happy Tuesday everyone! Today I have gathered up some of what I believe are things that are or should be in your skin care bag. I used to be carefree and not really take care of my face until a couple of years ago when I started to see that my skin wasn't the same. That's when I really started researching and figuring out what was perfect for my skin concerns.
I have put together seven basic products that I believe anyone should have. Let it be if you're big on skin care or just getting started. These will help you out any day of the week without a doubt. Lets give this list a start:
1. Cotton Rounds: It doesn't matter what brand these are a basic, no matter what. These rounds help you remove that pesky mascara, remove make up and even apply some skin care product. I have bunches of these because you can never have enough. Just make sure you get cotton ones so they don't irritate your skin.
2. Simple Cleansing Wipes: I received these cleansing wipes for free in VoxBox from Influenster and they saved me. These are perfect for those days when you're too tired or just got home too late and still have to clean your face. Just pop them in your nightstand drawer and before you go to bed take off anything that might be on your face. Plus, they are super sensitive on your face!
3. Erno Laszlo Hydra Therapy Cleansing Oil: I also received a Erno Laszlo product as a courtesy to try out from Influenster and loved it. That's why it is on this list. I loved the cleansing oil. An oil cleans out impurities that are oil based and really gets in there. Don't worry if you have oily prone skin, it will not make your face oily, on the contrary, it will smooth it out and keep it even more clean and hydrated. You can read more about the Erno Laszlo products on my last post.
4. Sheet Masks: Sheet mask have become a craze and for obvious reasons. They are awesome! There are thousands of different ones to chose from and they care to individual skin concerns. These are perfect for those days when you just want to lay back and relax. Not only can you relax but you can give your skin exactly what it need with very little effort.
5. Toner: Remember that when you clean or exfoliate your face you're stripping skin and that can be irritating. Toner helps balance that out and brings back your skins pH levels so it doesn't dry out. Just try and use toners with no alcohol so it will not irritate your skin more or make it dry out.
6. Mario Badescu Drying Lotion: This is a must, specially if you want any white heads or pimples to disappear over night. This lotion comes with a cotton swab like applicator that helps you dab the lotion on any blemishes. Just don't shake the solution, the pink solution that settles on the bottom should stay that way. You will fall in love with this!
7. Face Mist: Ever feel like your face needs a refreshment? This is your solution, some call them face mists others call them face refreshers but they all do the same thing. It's the perfect pick me up for your face. If you feel like your skin looks a little dull or dry just spray some mist over it and you will see that your skin will start glowing again. There are hundreds of these on the market so you will not have any trouble finding one.
There you have it everyone, my small list of skin care products that I believe anyone should have. Just remember to chose products that work for you and for your skin. It may take some time to find the right one because we all have different needs. Whenever you do find your perfect match, you will be thrilled and will see what wonders these products can do to your skin. See you in the next post!

A couple of weeks back I received my Erno Laszlo VoxBox from Influenster. I was super excited because I adore skin care, and I got this completely free and was excited to try it out. I was given the Erno Laszlo Sensitive Double Cleanse Kit, I received this particular one because I have somewhat sensitive skin and felt that this was the best for my skin type. The kit is also available for oily and dry skin, as well as detoxifying and reaffirming.
First of all, I love the presentation that this product comes in. The hard plastic casing that's easy to open and close. It keeps everything in place, it's easy to clean and perfect for travel.
I use this product mostly in the mornings because it's so light weight that I don't feel like my face is being put through a lot of stress. Also, since my skin is sensitive sometimes it's hard to clean and hydrate and this definitely does the trick. It cleans my face and leaves it super soft and moisturized.
It's a two step product so the first thing you use is the cleansing oil, which you apply on with your fingers all over your face. You massage it on and in circular motions so you can remove any impurities. If you are wearing some sort of make up you will begin to see it melt away with the circular motions.
After the oil is on your face, you have to continue to step two. Step two consists of lathering up the bar of soap and applying the lather onto your face. You must then massage the two so they can emulsify. The lather must be made up with warm water so it is most effective.
When you're done massaging the two solutions together you then rinse with warm water and pat dry and you're done! It's as easy as that. Nothing out of the blue or too complicated it to do.
When I applied the oil, I could feel how it was cleaning deep and removing the impurities. Then when I added the lather, it felt as if it was moisturizing and cleaning at the same time. By the time I had rinsed my face and patted dry I was so happy with the results. My skin felt super clean and really smooth.
I have been using this for a couple of weeks now and I can easily say that I love the results. My skin doesn't feel dry like it used to. Plus, it does not irritate my skin whatsoever and it doesn't leave it with any scent. I'm afraid to run out of this kit but I know that it works and I will definitely head out to get a full sized one when the time comes.
Everything about this has been a plus but I just have one bad point. The only bad point would be about the cleansing oil. The presentation is hard to manipulate just because you don't have a sort of a pump to dispense the oil. When you use it you have to be very careful so you don't drop all the product. Other than that everything is pretty much all thumbs up!
Highly recommend this to anyone that's trying to find a new cleanser or is trying to look into double cleansing. With this Erno Laszlo Double Cleanse Kit you have #ThePowerofTwo.
Kit is available at Sephora.com
For a while now I had been in a battle with myself about buying new cleanser. I really hadn't made up my mind and one day while I was browsing through some TONYMOLY products I came across The Face Shop. I had read and some friends had also told me that Korean beauty products are amazing and I was going to try this out for myself.
I read such great reviews for The Face Shop that I had finally made my choice for a cleanser. Magically Mother's Day was just around the corner and I gave my husband some options of what I wanted as a gift. I was thrilled to open my gift that day and find just what I wanted. Bam! Right there were my cleansers.
He got me the foam cleanser and the light oil cleanser. I put them to use that very night before I went to bed. First I used the oil which has a very pleasant scent. I pumped some of the oil onto to a cotton ball (the pump feature is perfect, gives you the amount you want) and started dabbing and wiping my eyes on which most of the time I have heavy eyeliner or mascara. With just a few dabs the heavy makeup that I was wearing that day were simply coming off. After I was done the oil left the area super hydrated.
After I was done with cleaning my eyes I was ready to use the foam cleanser for the rest of my face. The foam cleanser is like a lotion. I put a dab on my hands and added a bit of water then just went straight to my face. Gave my face a few rubs with it and then rinsed it off with lukewarm water. When I dried off my face I was so happy with the result. My face was so hydrated, smelled great and overall was so soft. That's what I was so pleased with the most, well, of course the being clean but more about the softness.
My results for this product are nothing but positive. I love how clean it makes my face feel and how soft it is on my skin. Afterwards it leaves my face with a certain glow that I also adore. I would definitely recommend these cleansers. I LOVE them! Have I said that I love them? They have now become a part of my daily cleansing routine. I still have yet to try out the cleansing milk but that will be perfect for another day to review.
I can't wait to read your comments and let me know what you think of this product if you have used it or are planning on using it. Have a great one!
Hey, hey! We're back to fashion today. Hopefully you all enjoyed my last post on my night out. Anyway...today's OOTD is very simple. You could say it's somewhat festival inspired. I always like to keep my outfits simple, I don't care if they are casual, dressy or anything for that matter. I've always believed that less is more.
This simple gray sleeveless dress is perfect for when the days get a lot warmer. It keeps you fresh and looks great. Paired it with some nude sandals and a couple of accessories, like the fedora that gives it that extra dash of chicness to the outfit.
Keeping today's outfit very simple. Let me know your thoughts and lookout for the next post!
